Dear Everyone,
I have just checked the Harcourt hotel, and they have availability. They not only have availability but also a special rate of 143.65 on rooms with multiple occupancy. I will circulate a booking
form from them shortly.
I will follow up with other accommodation venues now and revert.
For postgraduates or people in other financially precarious situations, please do stay in touch with the conference organizers and the AGS for details of support.
Warm wishes,
Rachel

Dear All,
Maybe I'm the slow one here but it seems to me that
everything is completely booked out from 23.8.

Subject: AGS Trinity College Dublin August 2023: accommodation in Dublin
Dear colleagues,
As August will approach quickly, we wanted to draw your attention to some important information about accommodation for those wishing to travel to Dublin
for the next annual conference of the AGS, which will take place from 29-31 August 2023.
Hotel prices in Dublin can be quite expensive, and the city is busy with many international events in late August. There will be pressure on accommodation,
so we are advising at this early stage that anyone who is thinking about coming to Dublin should avail now of the competitive rates that are still on offer:
1) TCD campus accommodation
The city-centre campus rooms available for 29-31 August are all ensuite, include breakfast and range from c. €103 to approx. €204 p.p. per night. (During
the academic year these rooms are occupied by TCD students).
The promo code for online bookings supplied below is for the conference; using this you can book right away to stay on TCD's city centre campus. While you
pay in full when you book, you will get a full refund if you cancel 72 hours in advance of arrival.
The code will remain open until 31 March 2023; however, availability is likely to reduce quickly in advance of that date, as the tourist market is still
quite busy at that time of year, and booking is based on a first come first served basis. Therefore, we would encourage anyone who is considering attending AGS 2023 to book now / asap, using the following information.
Campus accommodation booking info:
Delegates must book online to avail of the special B&B conference rate, link below:
https://www.tcd.ie/summeraccommodation/
2) City centre hotels (booking.com)
As an alternative to booking TCD campus accommodation we recommend using booking.com to secure a nearby hotel room asap. A
quick search on the booking.com website shows that rooms for 29-31 August are still on offer at reasonable prices, but that too will change over the coming months.
Some hotels / guesthouses that are near campus, good value and still have availability are listed here for your information (this list is by no means exhaustive).
Prices (for 1 adult staying for 1 night) are current, include breakfast, there
is no upfront deposit necessary, and cancellation is usually flexible:
The Harcourt Hotel - €169
Castle Hotel - €124
Academy Plaza Hotel - €152
The Grand Canal Hotel Ballsbridge - €186
The Mespil Hotel - €181
Motel One - €179
Marlin Hotel Stephen's Green - €202
Jury's Inn Parnell Street - €206
Pembroke Townhouse Ballsbridge - €225
Best wishes,
Mary
