An exciting opportunity has arisen for a library and health literacy skills trainer to work across Birmingham and the Black Country, recently brought to increasing fame as the
host of the Commonwealth Games and opening ceremony bull!
This post will suit someone who is a self-starter and is looking for a challenge to increase knowledge and understanding of health literacy among the local NHS workforce and
also the general public, as well as teaching searching, critical appraisal and the use of the NHS App. The post-holder will travel across the area to provide the training, but will also teach using MS Teams to reach dispersed users, so will have established
teaching skills as well as a knowledge of healthcare databases.

“The library at MHH has been a great support for me in my job as a Cultural Support Worker in terms of resources
and materials duly supplied to me on numerous occasions. The Librarians were extremely helpful and always went the extra mile on my requirements and requests. I find the library a place of continuing support - Cultural Advisor”
