*Search Usability* - 'Search is a journey: an exploration where what we
encounter changes what we seek. But in order to guide people along this
journey, we must understand both the art and science of designing search
experiences.'

*Better social media for libraries* - 'Social Media provides essential
marketing, communications and networking opportunities in today’s digital
workplace, but what can you do to elevate your library or information
service to a higher level of stakeholder engagement?'

*Research Data Management for information professionals* - 'The goal of
librarians is to run services that meet the needs of users. For Research
Data Management (RDM) this means understanding researchers’ activities,
motives, perceptions and feelings around their research and their data.'

*Artificial intelligence for information professionals* - 'AI will impact
information work profoundly in areas like knowledge discovery and exploring
user data. Information professionals have roles in evaluating systems and
products using AI, generating metadata and training users to navigate AI
based search systems and acquire data/AI literacy.'

*Communicating and tracking research using social media, blogging and
altmetrics* - 'Opportunities to communicate research to specialist and wide
audiences have never been better. Inexpensive and effective technologies
alongside social media and blogging platforms means impactful scholarly
communications do not have to take much time and effort if used properly.'

*Strategic Marketing for Libraries* - The focus will be on integrating all
your library promotion activities into an effective marketing campaign.
Delegates will explore marketing strategically as a non-profit
organisation, and then work on segmenting audiences and tailoring messages
for each group. The course will cover word of mouth marketing, social
media, and how to simplify key messages without dumbing down, before tying
everything together in a strategic marketing plan.
