Join our team as a postdoctoral research fellow in infant neuroimaging! You will run analyses on an fMRI dataset from 100+ infants scanned at 2 and 9 months, with the aim of understanding typical development and generating diagnostic methods for neonatologists.

You will join our diverse team of developmental psychologists, neuroimagers and clinicians in the ERC FOUNDCOG project, located in the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience

Fixed-term contract commencing 1 October 2022 and ending 30 June 2025.

 

Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the Post

• Identify analyses that will advance understanding of infant brain development and/or the prediction of neurodevelopmental impairments

• Synthesize and evaluate the relevant literature

• Conduct neuroimaging analyses, building upon an existing python pipeline

• Write the study up for publication

• Assist with the final year of data acquisition


Knowledge & Experience

• Proven research experience in functional MRI analysis is essential

• Experience with python or another relevant programming language is essential

• Experience in the development of new methods for neuroimaging analysis is desirable

• Experience working with patients or participants (particularly children) is desirable

 

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to plan, prioritize and keep multiple projects/tasks moving forward at once

• A track record of documented productivity

• Good communication skills and a professional manner
