Thank you Matt! But then what is the purpose of steplength, how does increasing/decreasing it affect the output?
Best regards,
Sam

¼ of the voxel size is a good step length. It does not affect fiber length, though there is a minimum fiber length setting: --distthresh1 or --distthresh3 depending on if you are using matrix1 or matrix3 style seeding.

Subject: [FSL] probtrackx steplength

Hello!

What is the recommended steplength for data with voxel sizes of 1mm, 2mm and 3mm? And what happens if steplength is decreased below 0.5? Will it terminate with shorter streamlines?

Best regards,

Sam
