Dear all,

My colleagues and I at Heriot-Watt University are running a workshop 27 July on Zoom (free) showcasing the work UK unions have been doing on neurodiversity, i.e. developing organiser training and reps to bargain individually and collectively on behalf of neurodivergent members (autism, dyslexia. dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADD/ADHD).

The workshop is also about generating ideas for how unions can expand their capacity on such matters.

We are also interested in what power and voice in the workplace means for neurodivergent workers, and how gender intersects with power and voice in such situations, something we feel will enhance union activities in such areas.

The link to sign-up is here.

Here's a Tweet that can be shared on the workshop too.

The workshop will have BSL interpreters.

Please share with colleagues who have interests in emergent union organising activities and/or are neurodivergent.

Also of general interest at least for academics interested in IRs, gender, neurodiversity.

Many thanks and best wishes.

James
