We require specific research & teaching expertise in Critical Social Policy (i.e. intersectional feminist, trans*, critical race/whiteness, migration, (in)equality, disability, queer, post-colonial, decolonial, approaches and studies). These results demonstrate the increasing impact of Edinburgh Napier's commitment to quality, and collective work that is at the heart of the Social Sciences. *The Role* As a Lecturer in Social Sciences (Critical Social Policy), you will join our vibrant subject group, comprising Social Sciences, Criminology and Policing. You will make a significant contribution to Social Sciences. You will be responsible for developing, designing, and delivering teaching and student-centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned areas of responsibility. You will contribute to our Social Sciences research, which is committed to advancing more socially just and equitable societies. You will help us to build on our outstanding REF outcomes (UoA 20), where 81% of our research outputs were rated 3* or 4* (sector average of 75%), as were all of our Impact Case Studies (the best Scottish university by this ICS measurement). The University’s overall REF 2021assessment was that 68% of our research was either “world-leading” or “internationally excellent”, up 15% since 2014.
