Abstract Submission for oral presentations closes on March 15th for the International Conference of Arabidopsis Research (ICAR2022).

It is free to submit an abstract and is possible without registration….although we encourage early registration to take advantage of reduced fees. Session organisers will consider both in-person and online delegates to select oral presentations so please submit an abstract even if you will join the meeting online.

-> Abstract Submission: The large majority of oral presenters will be selected from submitted abstracts. Abstracts can be submitted in 16 different categories representing the majority of plant science research. Additional oral presenters will be selected by the organisers of plenary, concurrent and workshop sessions. All other submitted abstracts will be placed into a poster session corresponding to the 16 submission categories.

Abstract deadline for oral presentation: March 15th. Abstract deadline for poster presentation only: April 15th. Thanks to Agrisera and MDPI-Plants for providing poster prizes.

Plenary Sessions
Concurrent and Workshop Sessions

These are the abstract submission categories:

1- Epigenetics and Chromatin biology
2- Arabidopsis at the frontier of applied biology
3- Exploring the Dynamic Proteome
4- Systems biology approaches to reveal gene function
5- Adaptation to abiotic stimuli
6- Plant Morphogenesis
7- Functions of the peripheral of the plant cell
8- Cell Signalling
9- New tools for plant cell biology
10- Plant immunity
11- Hormone and nutrient signalling
12- Plant development
13- Regulation of gene expression
14- Plant nutrition
15- Adaptive evolution and global change genomics
16- Exploring the biology of Arabidopsis -> This is a catch-all category if you feel your abstract doesn't *quite* fit elsewhere. Due to its variety this will likely be the most exciting of all the sessions :)

Please submit an abstract here.

The draft meeting schedule with the timings of all Keynotes, Plenary, Concurrent and Workshop sessions is available online and will be continuously added to over the coming weeks.

-> COVID19 Update: All COVID19 restrictions have now been eased in the United Kingdom. However at ICAR2022 we will encourage people to wear masks in busy areas and on public transport and to take a LFT prior to attending the event. Importantly it is very likely that people travelling to Belfast from overseas will need to provide proof of vaccination. COVID travel updates can be found here: https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/coronavirus-covid-19-travelling-northern-ireland-non-red-list-country#toc-0

-> Online Delegates: We will use the Glisser Online Environment to host online participants for ICAR2022. Online delegates will have access to all plenary and concurrent sessions and can submit text questions to the in-person chairperson. All posters will be placed in a 'digital poster room' online and can be viewed by all attendees. There will not be a designated 'digital poster session' but online participants will be able to arrange private video meetings with other delegates so-as to discuss their research. We are currently looking at the options for provide online workshop sessions that are led by online participants. All meeting delegates will have access to the Glisser system so that in-person delegates will have the option of following the online interactions.
Online registration fees until March 31st: ECPs, £75+VAT; Regular, £150+VAT.

We are delighted to be able to provide financial support to reduce the barriers to attendance.
