Dear list members, As part of the annual MeCCSA conference the Race, Ethnicity and Postcolonial network is being given the opportunity to organise and run a roundtable. We are looking for ideas for the roundtable based on the theme of the conference, 'Silenced Voices'. We welcome ideas from all perspectives whether it is looking at media industries, education or representations; as well as from frameworks be they sociological, postcolonial, critical race, and political economy. Some topics from the broader call for papers include, but aren't limited to: * Activism * Counter-culture * Cultural pluralism * Empowerment * Minority languages * Translation and mediation * Pedagogies and educational practice promoting inclusivity and embracing diversity. The conference is to take place in Aberdeen from the 7th to the 9th September 2022. We will help with the organisation, as well as with writing the abstract and reaching out to potential speakers.
