Curator ( Sound Collections)

We are seeking a Curator to support the management of all sound collections at the Library. This fixed term role will be based in the Moving Image and Sound Collections team and physically located at Kelvin Hall.   

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable experience of working with archive or library collections and a clear passion for sound recording as a medium. You will be expected to have excellent understanding of the management of digital and analogue collections and with strong experience of library or archive cataloguing and working with metadata.   

This role will support our ongoing digitisation programmes for sound and enable the Library to provide wider public access to many of its sound collections. We are seeking someone has excellent understanding and experience of working in partnerships, and engaging audiences with collections.   

The closing date for applications is 31st October 2021.  It is anticipated that interviews will be held in the week commencing 15th November 2021.
