*Apologies for cross-posting Would you like to help shape a Public Engagement professional development programme for NERC researchers? The National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) are working with the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) to develop an exciting 9-month online and experiential learning academy for NERC researchers seeking to develop their public engagement work, where participants will explore relevant content with expert facilitators, mentors, and in peer learning groups. We want to ensure this programme is as relevant and useful to the NERC research community as possible, and so we are seeking your views to help inform our work. If you are a NERC researcher, we ask that you complete our survey, which can be found here. https://www.publicengagement.ac.uk/nerc-mentoring-cohorts-survey. The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete, and will explore your current experience of professional development, public engagement, and how this new opportunity can meet your needs best. The survey closes on Wednesday 23rd June. We will be back in touch when recruitment starts for this programme, and those who fill in the survey will be among the first to hear about it! This unique opportunity will offer the chance to take part in a tailor-made professional development programme to build confidence and skills in public engagement, network with colleagues across the NERC community, and hear from experts in the field. NERC will also be offering small grants to cover time spent participating in the programme, and we really look forward to opening up this opportunity to you all.
