Mewn diwrnod a fydd yn orlawn o astudiaethau achos i’ch ysbrydoli, cyflwyniadau am arferion gorau a chyfres o sgyrsiau cryno, byddwn yn archwilio: * sut mae teuluoedd yn teimlo am ddychwelyd i amgueddfeydd * sut i wneud cysylltiad ystyrlon â phobl ifanc ar bynciau fel #MaeBywydauDuoBwys a’r newid hinsawdd * sut i greu amgylchedd chwareus sy’n croesawu teuluoedd am y nesaf peth i ddim * sut i gyrraedd teuluoedd sydd heb eu cynrychioli’n ddigonol, gan gynnwys teuluoedd agored i niwed a theuluoedd LGBTQ+ * sut i ennyn diddordeb plant hŷn drwy gemau cyfrifiadur * sut i gynnwys pobl ifanc awtistig a’u teuluoedd ar y safle ac ar-lein * sut gall amgueddfeydd weithio gyda phartneriaid lleol i ddarparu gwasanaethau cymunedol hanfodol * sut i gefnogi lles ac iechyd meddwl pobl ifanc. Bydd ein Panel Ieuenctid ac Ymddiriedolwyr Ifanc Kids in Museums yn arwain eu rhaglen eu hunain o sesiynau ar gyfer y rheiny sy’n gweithio gyda phobl ifanc neu sy’n cychwyn eu gyrfaoedd yn y sector. Bydd Cynhadledd Kids in Museums yn digwydd ar Zoom. Mae gennym nifer gyfyngedig o leoedd yn rhad ac am ddim ac am ddisgownt i bobl ifanc a gafodd eu gwneud yn ddi-waith neu sydd heb swydd lawn amser. The future of youth and family engagement in museums Tuesday 11 May 2021, 9.45am-4.15pm Join us for a virtual celebration of the best work going on in the UK and across the globe to involve children, young people and families in heritage. We will reflect on where we are at as a sector and where we might be going in our work with children, young people and families in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a day packed full of inspiring case studies, best practice presentations, workshops and lightning talks, we will explore: * how families feel about returning to museums * how to meaningfully engage with young people, on topics such as #BlackLivesMatter and climate change * how to create a family friendly and playful environment on a shoestring * how to reach underrepresented families, including vulnerable and LGBTQ+ families * how to engage older children through gaming * how to include autistic young people and families onsite and online * how museums can work with local partners to provide vital community services * how to support young people’s wellbeing and mental health. Our Kids in Museums Young Trustees and Youth Panel will be leading their own programme of sessions designed for those working with young people or starting their career in the sector. The Kids in Museums Conference will be held on Zoom. We have a limited number of free and discounted places for young people not in full time employment and those who have been made redundant.
