Hi, he also contacted me and shared pictures already. I was planning to upload these to the Quaternary Entomology Facebook group. If you're not on Facebook please let me know if you want me to send you the pictures.

Best,
Nick Schafstall

Hello!

I was contacted on Facebook by an archaeologist in Munich who has some insect remains he would like identified.  He is working a Roman-era site (possibly a shipwreck?) and has some remains that should originate somewhere in the area of the western Black Sea region between the northern border of Romania and modern Odessa.  I am unable to help him because (1) I'm not familiar with eastern European species, I work primarily in western North America, and (2) I'm currently convalescing about 70 miles away from home with a broken foot.  Thus, I am not near my lab or any references.
Would anybody be interested in helping him?  I can put you together with him.  Please let me know.  Thanks!

Martin
