Dear HERAG members,
In 2020, in response to calls from staff and students for an independent Council Committee to oversee reforms that root out institutional racism and structures that perpetuate inequities, LSHTM’s Council created a new committee of Council
for Diversity and Inclusion.
The purpose of the new committee is to oversee an independent external review and hold SLT to account for ensuring that LSHTM has an integrated and proactive approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, both in meeting its public sector
equality duties and in addressing diversity and inclusion issues. Members of this committee should provide external insight and expertise on institutional reforms, discrimination, anti-racism and decolonisation.
To assist the committee in this work, LSHTM is now seeking applications for the role of Co-opted member. Co-opted members are independent, external, members who bring specific expertise to committees.
