Subject: [External] Post doc researcher in research project on Religion and Urbanity (geolocation, digital humanities)

This email originated outside the University. Check before clicking links or attachments.

Dear Professor Ian Gregory,

I am writing to you in respect of your expertise. I am sorry to bother you but I am a PI of the research project that is about to be launched in Poland. It is an interdisciplinary project on Religion an Urbanity in Polish cities. The project links ethnography with GIS tools, understood as both heuristic and data collection tools. I am writing to you to ask if you could circulate the call for the post doc position in this project. In Poland linking GIS with humanities and research on religion with digital humanities is still underdeveloped. That is why I have concerns in finding a proper candidate for the post doc position in Poland. Maybe you know Phd students that are about to conclude their thesis or early career doctors who would be interested in integrating with the research team?

I would be grateful if you could circulate the information among people potentially interested in this call. The candidate is not required to speak Polish and I will be happy to integrate in our team any researcher interested in working with us and developing their own research in the framework of the main project. It is a three-year full contract position at the Jagiellonian University at the Institute for the Study of Religion in Krakow. Various models of collaboration are possible, as the post doc research in this particular project does not require a permanent presence of the researcher in Kraków.

I paste a link below to the presentation of the project. The description of the post-doc position follows below the short and long description of the project:

I also attach the link to the official page announcing the call and I attach the text of the call in Pdf file.

I will be happy to answer any questions and I am available to help with the application process.

I would be grateful for your help!

Best regards,
