At the University of Lausanne,  IDHEAP,  we have an open position for a

PostDoc Researcher (80%)

The successful applicant is expected to contribute to a research project on Welfare: Inclusion and Solidarity under the supervision of Prof. Giuliano Bonoli, Prof. Flavia Fossati and Prof. Francesco Maiani.  The research project analyses attitudes towards redistribution in multiethnic societies. Interest in interdisciplinary collaborations with PostDocs and other nccr – on the move collaborators in the framework of different NCCR events is expected. Regular attendance of events at the University of Neuchatel, or elsewhere in Switzerland, is also expected.

Contract length : 15 months

Activity rate : 80%

Qualifications

You completed a doctorate in one of the social sciences, preferably political sciences or sociology, which you defended no later than five years ago (date of viva voce). We look for candidates with excellent knowledge in quantitative methods and experience in social policy research. The candidate should also possess or be willing to develop skills in public attitudes analysis, particularly using survey experiments. Excellent written and oral command of English is required, knowledge of German, French or Italian is an asset.

What the position offers you

The salary is in accordance with the regulations of the Swiss National Science Foundation. The nccr – on the move offers attractive working conditions, including support measures for researchers with childcare duties. The position is guaranteed until 31 May 2022. It is planned to acquire additional funds so that an extension may be possible.
