Dear all,

Firstly, I should say I don't receive many complaints regarding the default Vancouver style here at Bristol, but a few instances have come to my attention where it doesn't appear to be correctly formatting electronic articles.

I usually recommend ' journal article' unless the paper really does only exist digitally and/or isn't published in a 'traditional' journal/proceedings etc. but a few students are wanting to use the electronic article format containing the 'cited: date' information and sometimes the URL or DOI.

Also, the journal abbreviations are a little tricky to impose automatically in Online if it doesn't come through with the reference (I find PubMed pretty good for bringing in abbreviations).

I've also now been told that the citation numbers should be superscript, but not sure about this one?!?! Must check

Anyway, has anyone come up against a similar issues with ejournals, abbreviations, and superscript with Vancouver in EndNote Online? If so, be good to hear how/if you've got around it (customised style?)

Thanks in advance,
James
