Subject:The Mirror Trap- Online immersive show about quantum physics and psychology
Date: Tue, 17 Nov 2020 15:37:04 +0000

Hi everyone,

I find myself in the peculiar position of doing an international tour from my bedroom.

I created an online immersive experience for Zoom, headphones and a mirror.  It is a sort of horror play about quantum physics and psychology.

The show has been performed for the Bloomsbury Festival London, Irish Science Week and will tonight (17/11/2020) be at the Science in the City Festival, Malta at 6.30 pm

I have some more shows coming up for the US but those will not be at convenient UK times and most will not be free of charge to access.

The show was written, created and performed by me (Simon Watt) with playwright Alexandra Wood acting as dramaturge and physicist Dr Harry Cliff as science consultant.  It has a public engagement bent in that after each 20 min show we have approximately 20 min discussion with a physicist and psychologist from the area local to the festival/venue.

I am seeking any festivals, theatres, events, museums etc that are booking digital content for 2021.  Or are there any digital festivals etc that any of you would recommend? Or are there any people who work in quantum physics who would like to collaborate perhaps?  This could be something that might help you share your research and/or gain valuable perspectives regarding how the public view this branch of physics. Please get in touch.

All the best
Simon
