Bill,
Choice example of a self-conscious snapshot well within the range defined by the original formulators of THE SNAPSHOT PROJECT. To remove "bookstore grit", labels (& their remains), and other "additions" to a glossy book surface I recommend a product called "GOO GONE". Recently saw their small size container for only $1. Other surfaces possible, just test on the least prominent surface to discover whether GOO GONE will leave its own trace as well. Regularly employed within the used & rare book & LP album businesses.
