Dear all,

We have now extended the deadline for abstract submissions to our 5th biennial online conference to 18th September 2020!

The Qualitative Health Research Network (QHRN) is hosting its 5th biennial conference online, March 18-19th 2021.

The QHRN organises biennial international conferences to allow emerging and experienced researchers from within and outside the UCL community to present, experiment with, and learn about qualitative theory, methods, and writing. This time we turn our attention to the notion of trust, which we understand broadly as a concept connecting ideas of power, belief, truth, relationships, and knowledge. Together these dynamics contribute to the shape of health landscapes, influencing the abilities of the public, services, practitioners and patients to engage in behaviours that determine health outcomes.

We invite abstracts of 300 words for consideration as a 10-15 minute live OR short pre-recorded highlight presentation. We welcome empirical and theoretical work from a wide range of disciplines, practitioners, policymakers, and health service users in areas including, but not limited to:

  * The role of trust, truth and authority in shaping knowledge systems
  * Dynamics of trust, truth and ethics in health policy and health communications
  * Use and misuse of trust and power in health and healthcare.
  * Perspectives on building trust in health services and expert knowledge
  * Methodological approaches and innovations to understanding trust and related mechanisms

Deadline for submissions is 18th September 2020 via Exordo.
