The next ARA Together weekly call will focus on the topic of conservation from home. The call will take place on ARA's Together Online Community<https://discord.com/invite/dvG4xh6> at 4pm on Wednesday 8th July 2020. We would love to hear from colleagues in the conservation sector and how they have been coping during the COVID-19 lockdown. What challenges/issues have you faced while working from home during this time? If you've been unable to undertake your normal role from home, how has this affected your mental health and wellbeing? How have you adapted if you have been unable to access your studio? Have you been involved in preparations for your return to work? Have you been accessing CPD and, if yes, what have you found particularly useful? The call will be hosted by the ARA's CEO, John Chambers who will be joined by a panel of conservators including * Antony Oliver, a conservator working for Sheffield Libraries, Archives and Information. Antony is currently the Chair of the ARA Preservation and Conservation Group. * Katie Proctor, a Conservator at West Yorkshire Archive Service, the Registrar of the ARA's Archive Conservation Training Scheme and a member of the Preservation and Conservation Group committee * Victoria Stevens, a freelance conservator who manages her own UK-wide conservation practice and preservation consultancy from her studio in Reading. Victoria is a library and archive conservator accredited by the Institute of Conservation (Icon) and has worked in written heritage conservation for over 20 years. She is an assessor for The National Archives' Archives Revealed scheme and is also a Collections Audit assessor for the Association of Independent Museums Please do join us on Wednesday at 4pm for the Conservation at Home online chat.
