Doug, Rather early spring here, so a similar process ended (sort of) a while ago. Particularly like your diction evoking jazz and blues in the final line, and the ironic third line, though I've learned to control my interior sound environment by playing certain compositions at maximum volume of the work of so-called minimal, post-minimal, and post post-minimal composers. I'd cite Terry Riley, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman, Wim Mertens, & Glenn Branca right now. I used to think free jazz improvisation would work, but too much street drilling found open space in which to intrude. Barry
