I’ll grant that, Doug, Sheila. I did try reading it aloud and it sounds
impressive. And this is certainly an element of a good poem. I just could
not follow any trajectory nor was I arrested by an image. Normally, Sheila,
after a couple of reads, something coalesces for me or leaps out. I just
haven’ got there with this one yet. I’m picking up on some sort of attitude
to protests in times of virus - feigned reports, shuttered views, devouring
clans? The glut of old codes line is still confusing to me, Doug, Andrew,
but it’s probably just me.
