Hi all

Thanks for sharing Nia.

Very happy to see https://teesvalleymuseums.org/schools/ in the list. If anyone has any questions about that website, do feel free to get in touch with me. I’ll either answer, or pass it on to someone who can!

Best

Subject: Re: Fantastic website examples needed

Good afternoon all,

I hope you've had a lovely relaxing weekend.

As I had such a high volume of responses to my request for website examples from others looking for the same, I thought it would be worth circulating the results to everyone. Please see a full list of collated recommendations and advice attached.

It's worth mentioning for those of you who aren't familiar with them that My Learning was recommended a few times and that the Age of Revolution website is well worth a look. Both are teacher centred and bring together a range of digital resources and approaches from a variety of institutions across the country.

I had a more extensive discussion with one of the co-creators of the Age of Revolution. It offers some fantastic examples of layered content and there's also a fairly unique section that guides users to create their own high quality digital content for those of you looking to expand in this area given current circumstances: https://ageofrevolution.org/education/creative-challenges/

In terms of individual organisations, The Jewish Museum has also been deservedly mentioned with great frequency in recent conversations with fellow Gemmers.

Hope this is helpful!

Very best,
Nia

Good morning all,

Hope you're well this sunny Tuesday morning.

I'm hoping you may be able to help me with some recommendations. I'm putting together ideas and content for a new standalone schools website and I'm looking for some great examples to gather inspiration! The website will have a heritage learning focus and we're hoping to include some interactive content - film clips, interviews, picture galleries, resources, etc. but it needs to be a simple format and extremely user friendly.

If any of you are really proud of your website (doesn't have to be heritage learning specific) or know of any brilliant examples, I'd be very grateful if you have the time to share them with me. I'd also be interested to hear your experiences of actually working with them from the back end, as this can often be a different story! Happy to share compiled responses off-list if anybody else would find this useful.

Many thanks in advance,
Nia
