Hi all, I am trying to finish the FiniteDiff PR and I am bit confused why we want this D = FiniteDiff(ig, direction = 'horizontal_y’) and not keep it as before D = FiniteDiff(ig, direction = 0). For me the first is quite confusing because of the name horizontal_y or horizontal_x and vertical. Maybe direction is not the right argument name, but we can change it to axis. I think axis is a word that is familiar to a python user, e.g. numpy.sum(x, axis=0). What do you think?
