Dear Tilla, The clever people at The Fortnightly Review have inserted the address for the film at the foot of the text so that, they say, you can now watch Alice and follow the text at the same time.

which is a useful  because it is long (actually almost an hour) and the video could keep you on track through the unrelenting precarious continuity here and there, though I wouldn’t want to attempt hearing it as it fully is without the script.

Nearby is what Alice did read the following day in Manchester, and, I think  ,the whole  of the rest of the festival.
