Hi, the answer, as always, is "it depends". If you only want to check effect within each age group, different age-appropriate templates would be fine. If you want to compare both groups directly, however, you will have to put them into the same space, and you will have to use the same template for both groups. This, however, should then be one equally fair (or unfair) to all participants. Ideally, if your groups are large enough (meaning larger triple digits) you could make one from all participants, but if not, I suggest you look into alternative template creating toolboxes. And yes, I would surely hope that using age appropriate templates will affect your between-subject analyses, otherwise they would not make much sense :) Cheers Marko ________________________________ Von: SPM (Statistical Parametric Mapping) <[log in to unmask]> im Auftrag von Tabrizi, Fara <[log in to unmask]> Gesendet: Montag, 4. We have structural data from those with and without autism including children (from 8 years) and adults. Should we fit all in a common stereotactic space or use age appropriate templates? If we use age appropriate templates, will this affect the between-subjects analysis (VBM)?
