Hi all

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest alternatives to replace Disqus on a
site which is using it to enable commenting on collection records. This
could be by way of a another embedded tool, some custom code integration
(php), or as the site is running in Drupal, a proven module (Drupal 7
currently).

The primary purpose is for users to share their knowledge about an item,
though threaded discussions are a nice to have, so that there can be some
dialogue.

The key issues with Disqus are perceived as: no possibility to
customise/simplify the design; and an onerous user sign-up process to a
third party service (a no sign-up option would be nice, like Wordpress). Of
course a moderation/management interface is essential.

Has anyone done such a change? There's an acceptance that because they were
posted through Disqus without any additional Ts & Cs all historic comments
will have to be lost.

Cheers, James
