Dear Colleague,

Professor Sue Hill has asked the following request to be cascaded.

Convalescent serum samples are required from patients 28 days post onset of confirmed SARS Cov2 infection.  The samples could be from excess serum obtained locally or by local recall of patients to obtain blood samples.  If you can assist in this could you please contact Sarah Hoosdally.

Thanks

Martin

Dear Colleagues,

COVID 19 - Convalescent Serum for PHE to validate antibody testing - urgent request for help.

The requirement is 100 true positive samples. Two things are required. First, they are taken 28 days post on set and second there is 5 mL of plasma/serum. This is to provide a bank to draw multiple samples i.e. every time a kit is evaluated. Each sample will be characterised using a reference test confirming they are true positives. All the characterisation and kit testing will need a good sample starting volume for a reference bank that can be used indefinitely.

In the first instance please contact;-
