We are looking for a PhD candidate to conduct a project on the interface of sociology / computational modelling and philosophy. The project is titled "Reconciling epistemic and demographic diversity" <https://www.scoop-program.org/program-projects/475-6-4-reconciling-epistemic-and-demographic-diversity> and will be located at the Sociology Department of the University of Groningen. The PhD will be supervised by Andreas Flache <https://flache.gmw.rug.nl/>, Michael Mäs <http://www.maes-sociology.eu/> and Jan-Willem Romeijn <http://www.philos.rug.nl/~romeyn/>, aspiring an interdisciplinary approach which combines insights from formal modelling (ABM) of opinion dynamics in sociology and formal epistemology in philosophy with experiments in the lab and field.
