Hi all,

Personally would be very interested. We are just starting to use Collaborate Ultra for our team meetings. Suspect this will be the new normal!

Subject: Network meeting online?

Dear colleagues

Gill, Annie and I met online this morning in lieu of our sadly cancelled network event in Bristol.

We wondered whether, in light of recent developments, rather than rearranging the date for a face-to-face gathering, and risking having to cancel again, any of you would be interested in joining a live video-conferenced session about teaching online.  As Programme Director of a large online Masters at Edinburgh, Gill and her team have considerable expertise in this area, and I'd also be happy to chip in with my own experience of moving towards distance learning, albeit as a relative newbie.

We realise that some of you might also like to contribute to this, or just come along to discuss and ask questions.  The idea would be to learn from each other about something that, right now, is very topical indeed!

Is this something that would interest you?  And if so, can you let us know what videoconferencing platform/s you are using?  In terms of timing, we're thinking sometime after Easter, probably towards the end of April.

We hope the prospect of gathering together online is something to look forward to in what could be quite a difficult and isolating time for everyone.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

Jane
