Dear all,

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Library Assistant in Research Support within Libraries & Collections at King's College London - and would welcome applications.

As part of the Research Support team within Open Research, the successful applicant will proactively contribute to a service that is dedicated to fully supporting the needs of King's researchers, building awareness of Open Access through advocacy, training and effective communications with academics and professional services staff across all King's faculties.

Key tasks will include contributing to preparation of research outputs for King's REF2021 submission (and future submissions); adding content (research outputs, King's e-theses) and ensuring quality metadata to the King's institutional repository (Pure); providing advice on funder policy and maintaining records of requests for Open Access funding (UKRI/COAF); and assisting with financial administration. They will also respond to researchers' queries and assist with the production of reports. Previous experience of working in an academic or publishing environment, or with repositories, open access or research data management would be highly desirable.

Creative, well-organised and with a high level of accuracy, the successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work well in a team and independently, be comfortable taking the initiative and dealing with complex issues, and have a clear, pleasant manner in dealing with a range of people over the telephone, via email or face-to-face.
