To follow up on this, to all sympathetic Kleist aficionad(o/a)s, I would like to highlight that the Schaubühne is streaming Peter Stein's famous 1972 *Prinz Friedrich von Homburg <https://www.schaubuehne.de/de/produktionen/prinz-friedrich-von-homburg.html>* staging this Sunday. This production marked a significant shift in the post-war reception of Kleist's play, away from Prussian military subordination to the suffering individual, that identified the prince with Kleist himself.
