Dear AVA members, The Geoffrey Burton Travel Award is normally decided in the next month or so, and would this year be for conferences taking place between April 2020 and March 2021. Due to the large number of cancellations (VSS, ECVP, many others...) the AVA has taken the decision to roll over this year's award to next year (April 2021) and allocate two awards next spring. My apologies for the late notice of this decision; the picture regarding conferences for 2020 has been an emerging one. I'm struggling not to use the dreaded word, "unprecedented" ((c) BBC News) but... these are unusual times.
