Working from home some daily tips

One of my positive aims is to start using more technology to  support students

But here from 1981 Judith Hahn is trialling the latest telephone answering machine using a variety of tape recorders some costing over £160.
It doesn’t show the real issue that everyone with cassettes - remembers the amount of time trying to wind up and unravel tapes that had got pulled out!

this alerted me to this great source.
'Englishwoman's Yearbook'. This publication provided a list of all the institutions and societies which existed for the benefit of women and children. It was originally edited by From 1873 by Louisa Hubbard . Printed copies are in the LSE women’s library.

but the internet archive has some digitised gems like this one from 1899. Use it to locate facts about the types of jobs open to women where they could study and advice on their prospects and wages., The preface has a very inspiring section on improving opportunities.
