The University of Liverpool Library’s  Special Collections & Archives is now advertising for a Graduate Library Assistant.

 

Specifically intended to provide pre-course experience to those wishing to undertake a postgraduate qualification in library or archive studies, the post is fixed term for one year, and is available from September 2020.

 

The successful candidate will support a team of librarians and archivists in providing reference, enquiry, cataloguing and retrieval services for users of Special Collections & Archives, as well as supporting the other activities of the department. You should be a highly motivated individual, comfortable working in a public environment, able to respond helpfully to researchers in person, by telephone, and in writing, and to operate as an effective and flexible member of a team.
