Lambeth Palace Library and the Church of England Record Centre are seeking two Move Preparation Assistants (fixed term contracts expected to last for 7 months).

Salary: £23,808 rising to £24,404 after probation

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Closing date: 22 March 2020

Interview date: 7 April 2020

These posts will support the major project to move the collections from the existing sites at Lambeth and Bermondsey to the new building on the Lambeth Palace site. The physical move will be undertaken by contractors but these posts will contribute to the process by supervision and other associated tasks. One post will be based at Lambeth Palace Library, London SE1 7JU, and the other one will be based initially at the Church of England Record Centre (CERC), London SE16 3PB, and then at the Lambeth site. However, there may be occasions when the postholders will be required to work at either site.

In the second half of 2020 Lambeth Palace Library and the Church of England Record Centre will be moving to a new building on the Lambeth Palace site. The reading rooms will close on 30 April 2020 until the opening of the new building in early 2021. There will also be some restrictions in answering enquiries.
