Dear Archivists
The Medical Mission Sisters are regularising naming conventions of
born-digital documents to assist in future digital record-keeping
and archiving. Naming conventions have been chosen for some forms,
but we are still looking at emails and photographs. One possibility
is:
Emails - save as .pdf with file name
date_sender_recipient
Photographs - save as .tiff or .jpg with file name
date_location_event
For those who are a bit further along the path, I'd be grateful for
any feedback over whether these name conventions and file formats
have any obvious built-in problems.
With best wishes, and thanks in advance
Anna
