Hi Jude
The BL has digitised hundreds of thousands of pages of print newspaper material as part of our Heritage Made Digital project (https://blogs.bl.uk/thenewsroom/2019/01/heritage-made-digital-the-newspapers.html
) and we also offer digitisation services to external customers. We have lots of experience of digitising fragile and unique material. You can find out more at
https://www.bl.uk/digitisation-services or please do send me an email if you want more information.
Kind regards
Emma

Subject: Historic Newspapers - Recommended UK Scanning Companies
Hello,
Would anyone like to recommend a UK-based scanning company either they have used on a project or know about that specialise in the high-quality scanning of historic newspapers?
At Manx National Heritage we’re looking to add significantly more content to our online newspapers website (newspapers 1961-2020)
https://www.imuseum.im/newspapers/ and are interested to hear about companies with a proven record of delivering scans from originals to this scale of project, i.e. 300-400k pages.
Thanks for any recommendations,
Jude.
