Dear All,

I'd like to draw your attention to an 8A clinical scientist position that has become available at Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS).

https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/915992304

This really exciting post is split between the routine biochemistry service at BSPS and the research team at the bowel cancer screening Hub and is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. It provides a rare opportunity to continue to be involved in routine and specialist chemistry services as well as being part of our internationally renowned research team.

The position will allow flexibility to get involved in any specific areas the post holder has an interest in or wants to learn more about (amongst other things we have specialist immunoassay, ICP-MS and a brand new LCMS lab). The department is very clinically active. The post holder will participate in the duty biochemist rota and will be fully supported to complete FRCPath.
Surrey is a beautiful part of the country to live in and Guildford is also very easily accessible from London - just off the A3 if driving (always against the traffic - I speak from experience driving from London every day!) or a half hour train journey from Waterloo.

The post is advertised as full time and we will also consider part time hours.

If you'd like to discuss the post further please don't hesitate to get in touch either via email or phone (01483 409850).

Best wishes

Sally
