Dear all! there have been several conference announcements in this forum recently, and I would like to add this one: at the WAC-9 - World Archaeological Congress in Prague (Czech Republic), july 5-10, 2020, a session on the *Archaeology of meat - Meat as a source of nutrition, status and identity* organised by Jan Turek, Krish Seetah and me, has been accepted; Details under https://www.wac-9.org/sessions/ you can find the complete information in section *F. Identities and ontologies / 15. Archaeology of Identitiy - Session 17*. allegedly, many archaeological animal remains are somehow - if indirectly - connected with "the archaeology of meat"; butchery studies are but one, important, aspect of it. Your abstract submissions are warmly welcome! They are possible until *march 21st 2020* (beginning of spring/equinox); there are five weeks left for those who consider a paper, and maybe a prolonged Central European summer. all best wishes and have a fine weekend Karl ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the ZOOARCH list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?SUBED1=ZOOARCH&A=1
