Sending on behalf of a colleague…

With apologies for cross posting:

Data for Policy 2020 will be held at UCL, London, UK on 15-16 September 2020. This conference series is the premier global forum for multiple disciplinary and cross-sector discussions around the theories, applications and implications of data science innovation in governance and the public sector – see dataforpolicy.org for further details.

There is much scope for the inclusion of perspectives from archives, records management and digital preservation in the discussions around data for policy which encompass aspects such as information governance, data management, systems and infrastructure and concepts of trust, privacy, accountability and integrity.

The call for papers is open until 20 April 2020. There are a number of special tracks, but one that may be of particular interest to the members of this list is the one on Documenting Data and Data Science: Surfacing Data Processes and Practices which is designed to focus specifically on the link between good governance and robust data management and documentation (recordkeeping) practices.

All the best,

Jenny Bunn
