There is still time to apply for NASIG’s Diversity and Inclusion Award!

 

NASIG created this award in order to help increase diversity in the library community as well as to provide financial support to attend the NASIG annual conference. Applicants must be a member of an underrepresented group (i.e. African-American, Latinx/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander or Native American/Alaskan Native, members of the LGBTQ+ community or individuals with disabilities).

 

The award winner will receive:

• Free conference registration
• 3 nights in the conference hotel prepaid by NASIG
• $600 for travel expenses and meals
• 1 year’s free membership in NASIG
• And an invitation to serve on a NASIG committee the year following the award

 

Applicants do not have to be current NASIG members and can come from all sectors of information resource management. Librarians, paraprofessionals, vendors, agents, and scholarly publishers are all welcome to apply.
