Very True!

The actual incidence of GKD is estimated < 1 in 200' 000, so a bit of AI may help increase the pre-test probability , e.g limit the actions only in males, certain age, hypoglycaemia, etc.

Hi
We use to do it but we found out that samples with significant glycerol levels were about one or less in 1000, so it’s not worth the cost and effort,
Thanks

I have not received any replies, so I assume that there aren’t any labs that have a glycerol blanked triglyceride assay – please let me know if you think I am mistaken.

I should probably have clarified that this is for a patient who is already known to have glycerol kinase deficiency, but there is a need to know the true triglyceride concentration.
