Postdoctoral Researcher – Addiction and real-time fMRI. Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA The Departments of Psychiatry and Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, in conjunction with the Magnetic Resonance Research Center at the Yale University School of Medicine (http://mrrc.yale.edu/index.aspx) have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct real-time functional imaging research aimed at determining the neurobiological mechanisms underlying cognitive processes related to addictions. This position is funded by a T32 training grant and is therefore open only to US citizens, US green card holders, and noncitizen nationals who are citizens of a US territory. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in projects using real-time fMRI in conjunction with novel analytic tools and techniques that were developed at Yale University. The successful candidate will be expected to lead real-time imaging data collection, to provide analysis of new and current datasets and to develop their own mentored projects. The candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and basic scientists and have access to state-of-the-art MRI and computational facilities at the Magnetic Resonance Research Center. They will be co-mentored by Kathleen Garrison in the Department of Psychiatry (https://medicine.yale.edu/profile/kathleen_garrison/), and Michelle Hampson in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging (https://medicine.yale.edu/profile/michelle_hampson/). The successful candidate should be creative, able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary group with clinicians, psychologists, engineers and computer scientists, and should be fluent in English and have excellent writing skills. Experience with fMRI techniques and analysis is an asset, but is not required. Interest in neuroimaging data analyses is critical, as is a career interest in neuroimaging of addictions.
