Hello all

If you post JOB ADs or EVENTS to the list please read on, if not, please ignore.

Sometimes I tweak a posting to the list to add some info or move it to a more prominent place - this means that my name appears in the 'from' bit. I assume you'd prefer to have your name there so am sending this reminder on how to increase your chances.

Please include location (city or country, as appropriate) in the subject line. If it's a "WFH" (work-from-home) please say so or indicate briefly in the subject line if location is irrelevant.

All job adverts need a salary (stipend / remuneration / bursary / budget) figure in £ or relevant currency. If I can find this quickly in the job advert or job description I'll just add it myself but it's better if you add it in the first place. If there's room put it in the subject line ("~£23k" is fine).

Tailor the email for the list (you may not be able to tailor a job ad on your website). Jobs are often advertised in different places to different audiences and an ad may have been written by someone who's not highlighted or prioritised the scicomm / PE aspects of the job. If you're sharing it with this list and the job title or blurb isn't obviously relevant please write in your email how it relates to the list's remit of public engagement with science

We are a fairly large list of over 4,600 subscribing addresses with several posts per day, so I'm keen to keep things on-topic.

Thank you for making psci-com a useful list, and a great place for people to find out about events, jobs, meetups and resources etc :)

Jo
