medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Greetings all,
I´m wondering what information is available about when and where canon law would have been taught in the mid-12th century? Do we have anything approaching 'syllabi' for any monastic schools or universities at that time? Library catalogues would do. I´m particularly interested in what might be going on at St. Victor's in Paris. Were they famed for knowledge of canon law? c. 1150, who WAS famous for such knowledge? (I´d also be interested in the 13th century, but for now I´m focussing on the 12th.)
Happy Epiphany,
Margaret
