medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Apologies for cross-posting. Dear colleagues, I am still working on indexing my backlog, and have just added another two sections to my online photo archive. One is a group of pages for the oldest active synagogue in Europe, the Altneuschul in Prague: <http://www.kornbluthphoto.com/Altneuschul.html> The building is largely C13-14, and has splendid vaulting and foliate sculpture. The other section is for the Archaeological Museum in Florence: <http://www.kornbluthphoto.com/FlorenceArMus.html> --a museum that is often bypassed in favor of everything else in that city. I mostly concentrated on the cameos and intaglios from the Medici collections, but there are also a few C6-7 icons and an Oxyrhynchus papyrus depicting Christ and Apostles during the storm at sea. best to all, Genevra ********************************************************************** To join the list, send the message: subscribe medieval-religion YOUR NAME to: [log in to unmask] To send a message to the list, address it to: [log in to unmask] To leave the list, send the message: unsubscribe medieval-religion to: [log in to unmask] In order to report problems or to contact the list's owners, write to: [log in to unmask] For further information, visit our web site: http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/medieval-religion
