Hello all!
*With apologies for cross posting*
I thought you might be interested in a paper one of my colleagues (Andrew) has just completed which explores potential outcomes of the new blended payment system for urgent
care.
As Andrew explains, the blended payment system will have far-reaching implications. However, there is currently scant detail surrounding crucial aspects of the scheme.
Failure to address this issue may not only lead to the inappropriate distribution of resources across the health system; it could result in tens of millions of pounds being diverted away from urgent care.
The paper’s available here:

If you have any comments or reflections on the paper, please get in touch – please also feel free to share with anyone who might be interested.
Best wishes,
Alison
