Have you contacted your local Public Library. When I worked in Public Libraries we always had a section in the children’s library on precisely this topic.
Also, there’s the Reading Agency’s Reading Well booklists. There’s a list for 13-18 year olds and another for younger children.

Older teenagers might also be happy with some of the books on the adult list.

Subject: Suggestions for books for primary & secondary school age
Hello all and happy Friday!
We have recently started a small collection of ‘healing books’ as part of our Wellbeing Zone.
These are story books aimed at children which staff can borrow for personal use or to give to patient’s families while they are in the hospital as a way to explain sensitive topics.
Subjects include bereavement, Alzheimer’s and family members having surgery.
Most of what I can find seems to be aimed at toddlers/nursery aged children and I am struggling to find anything for an older age group.
If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Jenny
